बता दें कि मेघना गुलज़ार द्वारा निर्देशित, सैम बहादुर 1971 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध की पृष्ठभूमि पर आधारित है जहां सैम मानेकशॉ ने भारतीय सेना का नेतृत्व किया था.इसके बाद एक नए राष्ट्र बांग्लादेश का जन्म हुआ था. फिल्म में विक्की कौशल के अलावा सान्या मल्होत्रा, फातिमा सना शेख, गोविंद नामदेव, मोहम्मद जीशान अय्यूब और नीरज काबी ने अहम रोल प्ले किया है.
